Parish Membership

Every Catholic should be registered in the Parish. Letters of testimony for

Godparents and Sponsors cannot be given unless you are a registered parishioner.  You may register as a Parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel by contacting the Rectory. PLEASE use your weekly envelopes.

Weddings

Arrangements for weddings must be made one year prior to event.

Please call the rectory at 973-589-2090 to make appointment for meeting with Priest.

Baptisms

Baptisms take place on the 3rd Sunday of each month. Please call the rectory at 973-589-2090 to make arrangements.

Ministry to the Sick

Please notify the Rectory when a parishioner is confined to home and unable to come to Church.

Upon request, Holy Communion will be brought to them by a Priest, Deacon or Eucharistic Minister.

Parish Council

The Parish Council meets monthly at 7:30 pm in the Parish Center. 

Financial Council Committee

The Finance Committee meets monthly at 7:30 pm in the Rectory.

Altar Servers

All boys grades 3 and up that have received the Sacrament of First Holy Eucharist can volunteer as Altar Servers.

Please contact the Rectory if you are interested.

Rosary Altar Society

The Rosary Altar Society meets the 1st Sunday of every

month following the 8:30 am Mass in the Parish Center. 

Holy Name Society

The Holy Name Society meets the 2nd Sunday of every

month following the 8:30 am Mass in the Parish Center.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Society

The Our Lady of Mount Carmel Society meets the 3rd Sunday of the

month following the 8:30 am Mass in the Parish Center.

Madonna della Fontana Society

The Madonna della Fontana Society meets the 4th Sunday of the

month following the 10:00 am Italian Mass in the Parish Center.

please call the rectory and ask to be put in contact with a society member.

Religious Education Program

*The Religious Education Program conducts classes for grades 1 - 8 on Sundays beginning at 10:00 am.

*Classes are taught by lay teachers , Vocationist Sisters and Seminarians.

*All children of the Parish should be enrolled in the Religious Education in order to receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Holy Eucharist and Confirmation. 

*Sacraments will only be administered to those children that satisfy the curriculum of our Program, show knowledge of their Faith and are practicing the Faith that is taught to them.

*If you would like to enroll your child in our Religious Education Program, please contact Regina Oliveira at the Rectory.

*Registration is $25.00 per child and this fee includes books.

Adult Choir of Our Lady of Mount Carmel

Practices are held on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 pm in church.

Boy Scouts of America

Boy Scout Troop 109 meets every Monday evening at 7:00 pm in the Parish Center.

If you are a boy 10 years and older and are interested in becoming a Boy Scout, attend a meeting with your parent's and speak with Scoutmaster Antonio Oliveira.  Troop 109 is always looking for more parent volunteers.
